The Key Generator Tool enables users to create strong, random keys ideal for use in API authentication, software security, encryption, or password creation.
Step 1: Choose Key Configuration
- Select your desired key length (number of characters).
- Choose the types of characters to include: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and/or special symbols.
- Optionally, input a custom character set to use instead of the default character pool.
Step 2: Improve Readability (Optional)
- Enable the "Avoid Similar Characters" option to exclude characters such as ‘O’, ‘0’, ‘l’, and ‘1’ which are easily mistaken for each other.
Step 3: Enable Key Segmentation (Optional)
- Use the "Segment with Dashes" feature to split the key into readable blocks (e.g., `XXXX-XXXX-XXXX`). This is useful for manual entry or improved visibility.
Step 4: Generate Key
- Click the "Generate Key" button to instantly create a secure random key based on your selected settings.
Step 5: Use the Key
- You can copy the key to your clipboard using the "Copy" button.
- Download the key as a `.txt` file for local storage.
- Export the key as a professionally formatted PDF document for archiving or sharing.
